January 29, 7:30. 39th Annual Osgood Memorial Lecture to Feature James White James W. C. White, professor of geological sciences and Dean of College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder, will present “Can Humans and Nature Coexist? The Fundamental Challenges and Opportunities of Sustainability and Climate Change” at the Richard G. Osgood, Jr. Memorial Lecture on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 7:30 p.m. in Lean Lecture Room of Wishart Hall (303 E. University St.). A dessert reception will precede the lecture. Admission is free and open to the public.

The 50th anniversary of Earth Day will be celebrated on April 22, 2020. The same day, WCSEN will join the celebration with the Scarlet, Gray and Green Fair on the campus of OARDC-OSU, Wooster. Look forward to free workshops and presentations, and sponsored booths, all focusing on sustainability. Watch for more information on this fun and informative event in future newsletters. The mission of the Wayne County Sustainable Energy Network is to advance sustainable energy in our area. We raise awareness by educating the public, and offering resources to assist individuals and organizations in their sustainable energy efforts. We provide resources, materials, information, workshops and projects to prepare individuals, the community and businesses to become more energy efficient, use resources more wisely and increase sustainable energy generation for homes, community and commercial buildings.
